Making phone and internet service more affordable.
AT&T Lifeline
If you are in a qualifying household, you may be able to reduce your bill by getting a Lifeline benefit on your wireless phone or home phone service with AT&T.
How much is the federal Lifeline benefit for AT&T service?
You may be eligible to receive the federal Lifeline benefit that lowers the cost of AT&T home phone or wireless phone service (AT&T does not offer a Lifeline benefit on internet service). Eligible households will receive $5.25 per month off an eligible voice service. Qualifying customers who live on federally recognized tribal lands may receive an additional $25 per month off their service. Lifeline service can’t be transferred to another person. There is only one benefit per household, not per person, and a household can get a Lifeline benefit from only one provider.
Lifeline eligible households also qualify for the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP.) AT&T participates in the ACP. Go (att.com/acp) for more information.
AT&T also offers low-cost home Internet service to qualifying households that participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits in California. Go here for more information about Access from AT&T.
